Morriston hospital (children’s ward/wardM) were absolutely fantastic with my little boy. Really good communication between all staff, they dealt with the situation quickly and they were all so nice and kind.
Thank you very much.
On the children’s ward, it would be nice to see a parent’s rooms. Especially with parents staying over night, it would be nice for parents to be able to access coffee/tea.
Filthy toilets - used paper towels strewn over the 2 toilets I used. Disabled toilet had plastic yellow safety thing stuck in middle of floor?? Had to push my friend in wheelchair as no staff - from car park to fracture to prescription collection - it was a long, long way between each! Parking was non existent - cars parked over lowered kerbs, people in disabled bays with no blue badge, took half hour to get space. Very chaotic place - four female staff stood in hallway discussing plans for their evening as elderly lady struggled to control wheelchair with badly injured husband on way to fracture clinic. I parked my friend up & helped this woman myself- absolutely appalling place - avoid at all costs.
I was admitted to Amu in November 2023 where I was told that I had pneumonia, chest infection was dehydrated and suspected internal bleeding. They were notified that I am immunosupressed due to anti rejection tablets following an organ transplant. They Dumped me into a chair where I was put on a drip, where I was told I had to sleep there overnight. The next day I was moved to a different area and dumped at the back end of a ward in the corridor next to a sink area for nurses, which was splattered with blood. When I asked about a pillow, I was told there weren't any. I expressed my concern, but was ignored. The following day I was moved again to a disused consultation room, not set up for patients no alarm pull etc. There was no switch to turn the lights out ,when I asked a nurse I was told that they were movement activated. By the early hours they were still on , when I asked the nurse she took me to another area full of patients and said the was a bed there if I wanted it. I refused and reminded her of not only my immune system but also my suffering of PTSD and social anxiety. I was taken back to the room where I broke down, a Dr was called , and gave me a sleeping tablet.Again the next day I was moved once again, this time to a side room. When the catering staff came to take my food order , they would not enter my room because of my immune system. This was farcical seeing as I had already been Dumped in various unsuitable areas. I couldn't get out of there quick enough, I was starving and bruised due to inadequate care. This was the most shambolic experience I have ever had to endure. I would never recommend anyone to go to AMU .I was brought up to be proud and grateful for our NHS , I no longer believe that this is correct for this disgusting dump of a hospital.
My husband recently had a blocked artery treated in the short stay cardiac unit and staff were amazing. The consultants, doctors are so hard working and genuinely care about the patients. We cannot thank them enough for their care and commitment.
The NHS always get bad press but they need more positive feedback
I was on Dan danino then after my operation I went to hdu the care I received from both places for 100% nothing was to much for the staff excellent I think the staff work very hard to meet the needs of the patient and more
Clydach Ward was a big part of my recovery. The staff were kind and supportive. The ward was spotless and all hospital staff were kind and polite. It was my birthday while I was there, they sang and made my day so special. I cant say thank you enough.
Waited 8 hours in a boiling hot area to be seen because of chest discomfort. 10 second ecg and then told to see my GP
Sorry but I wouldn’t recommend this hospital to anyone. “ The Green “ brigade were rude and noisy with no nursing skills whatsoever. The food was disgusting. I looked up who supplied the meals. Apparently it is cooked two weeks in advance and fast frozen. How can you freeze an omelette!!! I couldn’t even eat a beef burger as a biscuit as it was rock hard. Morriston Hospital change your cooked food suppler. Every time I have to stay in this hospital I lose half a stone because of their food. My daughter brought in fresh salad for me which the nurse kindly put into the fridge with my name on it. Next day when I asked for it I was told it had been thrown out because it was going bad.
Morriston hospital is full of vipers
They are the worst people that I have ever met and experienced
Do you have no empathy towards the patience of the police should be shut down?
i would like to thank Dr T Hussein for the exceptional care he showed to my Husband Ken before he sadly passed away.He worked long & hard knowing he was terminally ill.He made our lives to much easier as Ken deteriorated & he decided that he would contact me by phone as he knew Ken could hardly walk.He was not only the best specialist in that busy department he treated us as best friends too.He always made sure that I was made aware of all the problems we were facing & always showed so much compassion to both of us.Dr Hussein without your help I could never have got through the long perilous journey we had to endure.I thank you from the bottom of my broken heart that you have been my Rock.I will never ever forget you for strength you have given me to try & go through my life without my Husband after 55 years of marriage.I have lost my Husband but I found a friend in you Thanks for being such a Special person to us when we needed you most Jeannette Howells
